DNS Security DNS

A protective DNS service that stops users from reaching malicious, phishing and command-and-control domains at the DNS lookup stage. One of the easiest and cheapest controls to deploy.

When you need it

  • Employees work outside the office and their traffic does not pass through your firewall
  • Your firewall has no URL/DNS filtering
  • You have many branches and putting a security appliance in each is too expensive

When you do not need it

  • If your firewall's DNS/URL filtering is on and employees are in the office, the office is already covered; off-site devices need an agent or SSE.

Point your DNS resolver to the protective DNS service; install a lightweight agent on off-site devices. You can even start with free protective DNS services. Use the same protective DNS on guest Wi-Fi too.
