DDoS Protection DDoS

A service that protects your website or internet line from floods of fake traffic. Traffic is scrubbed in the provider's large network and then forwarded to you.

When you need it

• If you lose revenue directly when your site goes down (e-commerce, payments, reservations)
• If you are in a targeted sector such as finance, government or gaming
• If you have received a ransom DDoS threat before

When you do not need it

• If you only have a brochure site, the CDN provider's free/basic tier is enough.
• If your site is hosted on a SaaS platform (Shopify, Wix, etc.), protection is the provider's responsibility.

For the application layer, together with CDN/WAF; for line-level (volumetric) attacks, your internet service provider's scrubbing service.
