When you need it

• If you have production workloads on AWS/Azure/GCP

• If card or health data is stored in the cloud

When you do not need it

• If you only use SaaS (M365, Google Workspace), you do not need CSPM for IaaS.
• For a single, small cloud account, you can start with the cloud provider's built-in free posture tool.
