When you need it

• You have a mobile app or internet-facing APIs
• You suffer from card testing, fake sign-ups or promotion abuse
• Competitors are automatically scraping your prices
• Your login page receives heavy password-guessing traffic

When you do not need it

• Not needed if you have no API or only a brochure website.
• If your traffic is low, your WAF's bot and API modules (an add-on license in most products) are enough; no separate product needed.
